Click on each image to enlarge.

1. Art Nouveau stained glass window 'The Enchanted Wood'
From Oscar Paterson. Acrylic on stretched canvas.
Bright colours with black divider bars

2.  Section of the 'Forest Tapestry'William Morris 1887 V&A.
Comment: I think this would look really interesting
as a Morris pencil & watercolour working 'design sketch' .

3. Paisley design. Traditional motifs, colours and details.
Probably work best in acrylics on canvas or heavy 300gsm paper

4. Liberty pattern with gold and teal on black background.
Acrylic on canvas or mixed media on heavy 300gsm paper

5. Peacock with tail.  (Format adjustable.)  Pencil outline,
Loose, watercolour, rich colours. On 300gsm heavy paper.

6. Tile pattern.  Two-colour: soft teal and terracotta.
Probably best in watercolour on heavy 300gsm paper.
Strong, symmetrical design.

7. Realism.  Rich deep colours and fine detail.
A 'scientific study' with penciled notations
Probably best in watercolour but could also work in oils on stretched canvas
or acrylic on canvas or heavy 300gsm paper

NB. These designs are copyright to me.
